Of this total for Nova Scotia, $289.6 million will be allotted to Public Transit, $381.9 million to Green Infrastructure, $51.2 million toward Community, Culture and Recreation Infrastructure, and $105.7 million for Rural Communities Infrastructure.
“I’m very pleased with this announcement, and it’s good to see our provincial government partnership with us to focus on priority areas for infrastructure in this bilateral agreement. I see a great opportunity for Cape Breton in this agreement, especially for municipalities, First Nations communities, and other stakeholders because of the great need and opportunity we have in our region,” said Mark Eyking, Member of Parliament for Sydney – Victoria.
