NEWS RELEASE: CAPE BRETON’S MP’S PLEASED WITH PRIME MINISTER’S PROVINCIAL INFRASTRUCTURE FUNDING ANNOUNCEMNT TODAY

(Bridgetown, NS) Today, Member of Parliament for Sydney Victoria, Mark Eyking and Member of Parliament for Cape Breton Canso, Rodger Cuzner, said they were pleased with the Prime Minister’s infrastructure funding announcement with millions of dollars for Cape Breton Water/Waste Water & Public Transit.

Our Government is committed to making significant investments in infrastructure that will improve our public transit systems, keep our water clean, and strengthen our communities. Today’s announcement that the Federal and Provincial governments have reached a bilateral agreement that will result in more than $238 million being invested in wastewater and public transit projects across the province.

The agreement will ensure that the harbours and rivers across Nova Scotia are pristine, that existing water systems can withstand extreme weather events, and that our children have plenty of safe drinking water.
